Distinguished chemist, having held significant positions within both General Motors Research and Exxon Research, where he worked in catalyst development in the automotive and petroleum industries for 40 years
He has authored more than 30 papers including chemical processing and emissions control catalysis and fuel and lubricant chemistries
Paul Bessette, Technical Director
Award winning chemist with over 40 years experience working with lubricants and catalysts. He collaborated with Ed Kollin on the early testing of CETALYST. He worked at Ciba-Geigy and Nye before establishing his own laboratory in 2000.
Frederick D. Palmer, Esquire, Director, Marketing
40 years in the coal industry as general counsel, then CEO of Western Fuels Association; SVP Government Relations reporting to the CEO and member of the executive committee for Peabody Energy Corporation. 50 years of experience in thermal/process chemistry, thermodynamics, catalysis, coal use for industry, clean coal technology, and power generation as well as refining of petroleum, heavy oil, extra heavy oil, tar sands and bitumen.
He served as second to the CEO who served as a member of the Paris based IEA Coal Industry Advisory Board and represented Peabody on the London based World Coal Association Board, Serving as Chairman for one two-year term during which China’s Shenhua Energy Co., China Coal Energy Co. and the China National Coal Association joined as Members.
Jay R. Gunderson, Principal Engineer and Consultant
A chemical engineer by training, he has over 30 years as a specialist in combustion processes. His principal areas of interest include fireside performance testing , design of pilot-scale equipment and full scale performance evaluation for coal fired boilers. He performed the coal fired boiler tests on CETALYST nearly 5 years ago while at the EERC. He has done test work in the US as well as other countries around the world.
